Ethiopian Airlines is now the leading and the most profitable airline in Affrica. It is wholly owned by the country of Ethiopia with operating base at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The airline serves a network of 113 passenger destination primarily in Africa and with growing network in Europe and Asia. It also has regular flights to the middle east, North and South America.

Recently the airline purchased a state of the art aircraft which is fuel efficient. Their Airbus A350-900 and Beoing 787-8. Ethiopian also operates Boeing 777-200 LR, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 786 aircraft. For short haul flights, they also use  Boeing 737 and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400.
